Notifi Real-Time Alerts
Know what’s happening with your money the moment it occurs with Notifi alerts. Notifi delivers real-time information and is available to all Provident Bank customers through Online and Mobile Banking.
Important information you will need to know the first time you login to Online Banking starting Thursday, December 12th
- You will be required to confirm and save your email address.
Note: this information is required, even if you cancel or exit the screen, you will be prompted to complete the process to continue to Online Banking. - Once you confirm and save your email address, an activation code will be sent to your email from alerts@myprovident.com. Enter the activation code received in the pop-up screen. You will then be directed to the regular Online Banking screen.
Once the activation code is entered, you will automatically be enrolled in these notifications:
- Broadcast alerts
- Address was changed
- Login ID for Online Banking was changed
- Online Banking login was locked out
- Online Banking password was changed
- Online Banking security question was changed
For additional alerts within Online Banking, go to Settings/Security Center/Account/Security Alerts to select new alerts or make any changes to existing alerts.
Alerts can be set for various instances including the following:
- Low balance alerts
- Deposit alerts
- Online Banking password changes
- Withdrawals over a certain threshold
- Debit card purchases
- And More

MOBILE BANKING SET-UP
- Log into the MyProvident Mobile Banking app
- Select More from the main menu, then Alerts
- Turn on push notifications
- Choose the Account or Security alerts template you would like to receive
Once setup, the moment an alert is triggered, you’ll receive an alert. It’s that easy.

- If I previously used alerts in Online Banking, do I need to enroll in Notifi and set-up my alerts again?
Yes, you will need to enroll in this new service within Online Banking. - Is there a fee to receive real-time alerts?
No, this is a complimentary service. However, please note that text messages and data fees may be charged by your service provider when receiving text alerts. - Do I have to be enrolled in Provident’s Online or Mobile Banking to receive Notifi alerts?
Yes, you would need to be enrolled. - How do I activate an email address or phone number to receive alerts?
When setting up alerts go to the “Notification Settings” tab, add an email address or mobile phone number, then click “Send Activation Code.” Type the code you receive into the “Activation” box. - What is a push notification?
When enrolled for push notification, a message will pop up on your mobile device anytime a specified Notifi Alerts threshold is met. You do not need to be logged in to receive the message. Push notifications look like text messages, but they only reach your device if our Mobile Banking App has been installed. - Can I use alerts to help guard against fraud?
Absolutely. We recommend that all customers set-up Notifi Alerts to monitor account activity. When you activate Notifi, you’ll know exactly what’s happening with your money, and you can watch account activity in real-time. - How does the new Do Not Disturb option work?
Any alerts generated during that time frame will be held until that period ends. To set this up, go to the Notification Settings - Can I review past alerts?
Yes. Log on to online banking and go to the Notification History screen.
It displays a list of your alerts with the details.
You can mark as read or delete past alerts from here.
You can also view past alerts from our Mobile Banking app. - Can Businesses disable/enable the alerts option from their employees?
Yes. The Online Company Administrator has access to make these changes. - Can Businesses limit the accounts their employees may receive alerts from?
Yes. The Online Company Administrator has access to make these changes. Employees will only have alert access to the specific accounts you have already established for this employee.
